Bill summary: (LATEST SUMMARY) Treasury, Postal Service, and General Government Appropriations Act - =Title I: Treasury Department= - Treasury Department Appropriations Act - Makes appropriations for necessary expenses in the Office of the Secretary of the Treasury, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, the United States Customs Service, the Bureau of the Mint and other specified units of such Department. =Title II: Postal Service= - Postal Service Appropriation Act - Makes appropriations to (...show more) the Postal Service Fund. Specifies an amount to be made available only for transfer to the Civil Service Retirement and Disability Fund. =Title III: Executive Office of the President= - Executive Office Appropriation Act - Makes appropriations for the expenses of, and for salaries of personnel of, specified offices and councils under the Executive Office of the President. =Title IV: Independent Agencies= - Independent Agencies Appropriations Act - Makes appropriations for independent commissions, committees, councils, services and offices of the Federal Government. Provides for a payment to the Civil Service Retirement and Disability Fund. Makes appropriations for salaries and necessary expenses for the United States Tax Court. =Title V: General Provisions= - Sets forth limitations upon the use of funds appropriated under this Act for travel expenses. Sets forth limitations upon the utilizations of funds appropriated under this Act for purposes of procurement and puchase of various specified items. =Title VI: General Provisions= - Limits the amounts which may be used for the purchase of passenger motor vehicles by executive agencies and departments. Prohibits the use of funds appropriated under this Act for publicity or propaganda purposes designed to support or defeat legislation pending before Congress. Prohibits the use of any of the funds under this Act for the purpose of obtaining information contained in the financial records of any customer from a financial institution by a subpoena not including notice to such customer
