Description: TO PASS H.R. 10029, MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR MILITARY CONSTRUCTION THROUGH SEPT. 1976.

Bill summary: (Conference report filed in House, H. Rept. 94-655) Military Construction Appropriation Act - Makes appropriations of specified sums for the fiscal year 1976, and the period ending September 30, 1976, for the construction of military works and installations by the following: (1) the Army; (2) the Navy; (3) the Air Force; (4) specified defense agencies; (5) the Army National Guard; (6) the Air National Guard; (7) the Army Reserve; (8) the Navy Reserve; and (9) the Air Force Reserve. Authorizes the appropriation of funds for family housing for the military departments and agencies. Sets limitations on the use of funds appropriated under this Act. Prohibits the use of the funds appropriated under this Act from being used prior to April 15, 1976, for military construction on the island of Diego Garcia, except that $250,000 may be used to procure, construct and install aircraft arresting gear on the island.
