PROXMIRE, ET AL, RESULTING FROM PROXMIRE'S CRITICISM OF A GOVERNMENT RESEARCH GRANT. THE BUCKLEY AMENDMENT AUTHORIZES PAYMENT TO BUCKLEY FOR OUTSTANDING EXPENSES INCURRED IN CONTESTING IN COURT THE CONSITUTIONALITY OF THE 1974 CAMPAIGN FINANCE LAW.

Bill summary: (Reported to Senate from the Committee on Rules and Administration with amendment, S. Rept. 94-1041) Directs that the expenses, including attorneys' fees, in an amount approved by the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration, incurred by Senator Proxmire in the defense of a specified civil action shall be paid from the contingent fund of the Senate on vouchers signed by the Senator and approved by the Committee on Rules and Administration.
