Bill summary: King Holiday and Service Act of 1994 - Amends Federal law to: (1) authorize appropriations through FY 1998 for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Federal Holiday Commission; (2) extend the Commission; (3) revise its membership to include the Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation for National and Community Service; (4) include the encouragement of service opportunities as one of the Commission's purposes; (5) add restrictions on details to the Commission and use of Commission funds for air travel
and hotel accommodations; (6) revise congressional reporting requirements; and (7) add requirements for a Commission accounting system.
Amends the National and Community Service Act of 1990 to authorize the Corporation to make grants to eligible entities to carry out service opportunities in conjunction with Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday.
