Description: TO CONCUR IN SENATE AMENDMENT ON H. R. 508 (14 STAT 379, 1/25/1867), A BILL TO AMEND THE ORIGINAL ACTS OF THE TERRITORIES OF NEBRASKA, COLORADO, DAKOTA, MONTANA, WASHINGTON, IDAHO, ARIZONA, UTAH, AND NEW MEXICO. THE SENATE AMENDMENT SUBSTITUTES THE FOLLOWING AFTER THE ENACTING CLAUSE OF BILL -- PROVIDING THAT AFTER PASSAGE OF THE ACT THERE SHALL BE NO DENIAL OF VOTE TO ANY CITIZEN IN UNITED STATES OF RACE, OR COLOR OR PREVIOUS CONDITION OF SERVITUDE; ACTS INCONSISTENT WITH THESE PROVISIONS ARE DECLARED NULL AND VOID; PROVIDING ALSO TO AMEND TITLE OF BILL TO READ "AN ACT TO REGULATE THE EFECTIVE FRANCHISE IN TERRITORIES OF UNITED STATES'.
