Description: TO ADOPT THE PREAMBLE AND RESOLUTION THAT, WHEREAS, THE TIME LIMITED BY THE SIXTH ARTICLE OF THE CONVENTION FOR MUTUAL ABOLITION OF THE DROIT D'AUBAINE AND TAXES ON IMIGRATION BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES AND THE GRANDE DUCHY OF HESSE, HAS EXPIRED BEFORE RATIFICATION,RESOLVED, THAT THE SENATE CONSENT TO EXCHANGE OF RATIFICATION OF THE FORESAID CONVENTION AT ANY TIME PRIOR TO JULY 4, 1845, WHEREEVER OFFERED BY THE GRAND DUCHY OF HESSE, AND THE SAID RATIFICATION SHALL BE DEEMED TO HAVE BEEN REGULARLY EXCHANGED, LIMITATIONS TO THE CONTRARY NOTWITHSTANDING.
