Description: TO AMEND THE RESOLUTION REGARDING OUR BOUNDARIES WITH MEXICO BY ELIMINATING ALL AFTER THE WORD "RESOLVED", AND INSERTING AS SUBSTITUTE THAT, IN THE OPINION OF CONGRESS, IT WOULD BE PROPER TO PLACE AT THE DISPOSAL OF THE PRESIDENT A SUM ADEQUATE TO THE ATTAINMENT OF PEACE WITH MEXICO, BY NEGOTIATING A TREATY AND DEFINING THE LIMITS AND BOUNDARIES BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES AND THAT SUCH A PROPOSITION BE SUBMITTED TO BOTH HOUSES.
