AND THE MEDAY-WA-KAY-TOAN AND WAH-PAY-KOO-KAY BANDS OF DAKOTAS OR SIOUX INDIANS, CONCLUDED AT MENDOTA, MINN. AUG. 5, 1851, WITH AMENDMENTS PROVIDING FOR THE U. S. TO COMPENSATE THE SIOUX INDIANS AT THE RATE OF $10 PER ACRE FOR THE LANDS INCLUDED IN THE RESERVATION AND THE ELIMINATING OF ARTICLE 8 WHICH PROVIDED FOR THE U. S. TO PAY THE HALF-BREEDS OF THE SIOUX NATION $150,000 IN LIEU OF THE TRACT OF LANDS SET APART FOR THIER OCCUPANCY IN THE TREATY CONCLUDED AT PRAIRIE-CHIEN JULY 15, 1830.
